I am indeed delighted that our Ghana Regulatory Body for Nursing and Midwifery is embarking on initiatives to enable students of our esteemed professions to not only communicate with patients who are indigenes of Ghana but to broaden their horizon into multilingualism by studying FRENCH. This initiative is supportive of the current global drive for universal access to health by 2030. The health workforce being the core drivers to achievement of this drive is greatly reliant on the formidable work of nurses and midwives who are by evidence the largest number in every national health workforce.
A french Coursebook for Student Nurses & Midwives in Ghana – Paperback Edition
More than 30 years of working in the health sector nationally and internationally has continually convinced me that ability to speak French is critical to professional advancement in accessing Nursing, Midwifery and wider health-related job opportunities within the West Africa region and globally. I am impressed that the course focuses on building skills from foundational level to significant expressions of health-related language in French. This is EXCELLENT.
